Curiosity, MindSight and Community for Families

Reflections on Beth Glick’s Parenting Psi and an invitation to our first Conscious Quantum Family PSI gathering in North Vancouver.

How can we give children space to explore their curiosity while letting them move at their own pace?

In her thoughtful article, Parenting Psi, Beth Glick shares her experience as a mother after her son attended the ICU Academy Program with me, exploring MindSight and intuitive perception.

She describes the joy he felt, the questions that followed and her wish to support his exploration without creating pressure.

Her reflections speak to a question many parents encounter: how do we support a child whose way of experiencing the world differs from our own?

Listening with curiosity

One line from Beth’s article stayed with me:

“Perhaps the work is simply to keep the door unlocked without asking him to walk through it.”

There is something gentle and practical in this image. We can make an exploration available while allowing a child to decide whether, when and how they wish to participate.

Their curiosity may deepen. It may pause. Something else may capture their attention.

As adults, we can stay interested in what they share without making that interest an expectation.

Beth’s reflections reach beyond MindSight. They speak to listening to our children and allowing room for experiences we may not fully understand. We can acknowledge what a child describes while remaining thoughtful about how we interpret it.

Sometimes a simple question creates enough space:

“What did you notice?”

“What was that like for you?”

Then we can listen, allowing their words and meaning to emerge.

MindSight as part of a wider exploration

In my work with children through the ICU Academy Program, MindSight sits within a broader exploration of sensory awareness, intuition, grounding and connection.

Blindfold activities may spark curiosity, but the intention extends into how children relate to their whole experience: noticing their body, listening to their senses, exploring impressions and practising discernment.

There is space to be curious without needing an immediate explanation. There is also space to stop, rest or choose another activity.

For me, holding space means staying attentive to the child in front of me, including their comfort, boundaries and changing interests.

Creating space for families in Vancouver

Beth also shares a wish for community. Somewhere children can explore together and parents can have honest conversations about the questions that arise.

This resonates with the heart of the Conscious Quantum Family PSI Community I’m creating in Vancouver.

MindSight and expanded perception are part of the invitation. The community also welcomes the many everyday ways children express curiosity, sensitivity, imagination and connection.

Some children feel deeply connected to animals or nature. Some notice small details or need time to feel comfortable in a group. Others simply enjoy exploring something new.

We want to make room for each of them.

No child needs a label, demonstrated ability or particular experience to belong.

Parents and caregivers are welcome to bring their questions, too. We can share perspectives, listen to one another and reflect on what supports our children as they grow.

Join our first gathering on October 18

You’re warmly invited to Conscious Quantum Family PSI: MindSight, Play, Perception & Connection, an afternoon outdoors for children, parents and caregivers.

We’ll explore sensory games in nature, nature listening and playful MindSight activities, with room for relaxed conversation and unstructured moments.

Activities are invitations. Children can join in, watch or take a break at their own pace. There is time to settle in and enjoy being together without pressure to perform or make friends on cue.

If your family has worked with me before, I would especially love to reconnect. If you are new to this community, you are equally welcome.

Thank you, Beth, for sharing your story and opening a conversation that gives other families room to reflect.

My hope is that we can carry that conversation into a fun afternoon together, with curiosity, care and space for children and all of us to be ourselves.

I also share reflections on MindSight, intuitive awareness, quantum energy healing and living with greater connection to ourselves and the world around us.
